Important Information
Bugs in Lettuces
We've all heard about the Bogong moth migration, but it's important to know that Spring brings out many varieties of bugs and they have been loving the weather lately. The bugs and their larvae are finding their way into the hearts of layered lettuces like Baby cos and Iceberg. Please be extra careful when washing these products.
GHERKINS
Have started to arrive from Queensland. I do however prefer the local ones from Sydney.
HALLOWEEN PUMPKINS
Just over a week until Halloween. If you are planning to carve some pumpkins, now is the time to order some.
MANGOES
Plenty in the market and mainly Kensington Prides. There are B grade, 10kg Box Only specials available, as well as Green Mangoes. Just need to know if you want the sweet or sour varieties.
TOMATOES
Most varieties are excellent at the moment. Definitely the right time to do something special on your Menu.
STONE FRUIT
Quality is good and supply is slowly building. Just very expensive.
YELLOW ZUCCHINI
Yellow Zucchini and the other varieties are abundant this week. Quality is very good!
